SEND Information report and policies

St John’s is an inclusive school.

'This unfailing commitment to inclusion is the bedrock of your vision for nurturing pupils to be successful well-rounded individuals ready for the next stage in their learning and development'. OFSTED June 2018

We are dedicated to our pupils and we strive to ensure that all children,

whatever their educational needs, access a broad and balanced curriculum.

Mrs Vicki Dixon is the Special Educational Needs and Disability Co-ordinator (SENDCo) and she works closely with school staff and outside agencies to support and assess children as a need arises.

All of our staff in school are there to support any children who have Special Educational Needs.

Special educational needs complaints

If you want to complain about a school’s SEND support, you should do it while your child is still registered at the school.

This includes complaints that the school has not provided the support required by your child’s education, health and care (EHC) plan.

Make a complaint

Follow these steps in order. Move on to the next step if your complaint is not resolved.

1. Talk to the school’s special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO), Mrs Vicki Dixon

2. Follow the school’s complaints procedure.

3. Complain to your Stockton Local Authority.
