Class 3 - Mrs Cundliffe

Autumn - Childhood

Autumn term has been full of hard work, laughter and fun! We enjoyed our science lessons, learning about the different everyday materials and the human senses. In maths we have been trying very hard to understand numbers to 10. In PE we have been amazing at throwing a ball underarm and overarm towards a target. The cinema trip, our sports festival and the pantomime were especially memorable.

Spring - Bright lights, Big city

What a busy Spring term we've had in Class 3. Paddington Bear visited us all the way from London for a picnic, he loved the marmalade sandwich we made for him! We have learnt a lot about famous London landmarks and even wrote a postcard to the King! We had a lot of fun making black taxi cabs in DT and learning the Easter story in RE. In PE we explored different yoga poses and how yoga made us feel, we also did some gymnastics using the apparatus. We are looking forward to our Summer term learning.

Summer - School Days

Summer term has been a busy one! We have continued to love Drawing Club, writing some amazing sentences about the adventures we have been on using lots of different stories! In maths we have learnt positional language, how to compare numbers and started to look at the value of coins and notes. We enjoyed making slings using our jumpers in PSHE when we were looking at First Aid, we can all say how we would help someone if they were hurt! Our PE sessions have taught us skills to use in bat and ball games and the different skills we need for athletics. When the sun started shining, we enjoyed our Thrive time outside!
