School meals

We provide excellent healthy school meals that are cooked on site each day. We offer the children 3 choices of meal each day – 2 hot and 1 cold. Children will choose their meal each morning. This will mean that each child gets the meal they request each day. Menus can be made available on request and are available on the link above.

Do I need to pay?

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a Universal Infant Free School Meal regardless of your benefit status. However, if you think you may be entitled, based on the information below, please use the link to apply as this unlocks additional funding to use in school.

If parents/carers are in receipt of any of the following benefits children will qualify for free school meals:

 Income Support

 income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance

 income-related Employment and Support Allowance

 support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

 the guaranteed element of Pension Credit

 Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)

 Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit

 Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)

If you think your child is entitled to receive a free school meal please use the link below to check instantly if you are eligible and this will continue until the end of this school phase.  Please complete the form even if you do not intend to take a school meal, as this entitles school to £1,345 Pupil Premium funding per child from the Government.  Speak to the office if you are unable to complete the check or have any questions.

Dinner money collection for KS2 is undertaken by the school office. Money should be paid on a Monday morning for the week ahead in the special envelopes provided. Cheques must be made payable to Stockton Borough Council with your name and address printed on the back of the cheque. If a child wants to change their meal plan from school lunch they must inform the school office a week in advance. And the meal plan should be consistent throughout the week - all school lunches or all packed lunches.

The cost of a meal is £2.50 a day and £12.50 for the week for KS2 children.

Packed Lunches

Children may choose to bring their own packed meal to school each morning. In line with our healthy eating policy, chocolate bars, sweets and fizzy drinks are not allowed.  Should a child arrive without a packed lunch on a morning, they will be served a school meal and standard charges will apply.

Please ensure that grapes are cut in half lengthways.

Please note peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches are not allowed. This is due to allergies.
