St John the Baptist Primary School
We have had a fantastic start to Year 1 and have had so much fun learning about different things. In maths we’ve done lots of number and addition work and in our Drawing Club work we have used our imaginations to write some lovely sentences. Throughout our topic we have learnt about Neil Armstrong, Rosa Parks and Vincent Van Gogh and George Stephenson. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Hopetown to see George Stephensons first steam engine, the ‘Rocket’. In Science we have looked at human and animal survival and how we can keep our minds and bodies healthy. We can’t wait for next half term’s fun!
