Autumn 2 - Marvellous Machines

It has been a very busy term in EMS1! We have made lots of new friends and have been working hard at playing and working together. We explored our school and where we live. It was fun to look at our family photographs in school! Everyone loved our Zoolab workshop where we got to meet different animals and insects. Later in the term we learnt about different machines and went on a hunt to find machines around school. Preparing for Christmas was lots of fun ! We learnt about the birth of Jesus, made lots of Christmas decorations and put on a Christmas Performance for our family and friends.

Spring 2 - People Who Help Us

We have had an action packed Spring term! During Mental Health and Well-Being Week we learnt about the people we are connected to. We made friendship bracelets for our friends and even had a visit from Penny the therapy dog! Everyone helped to do some spring cleaning in our playground to get ready for the warmer weather. We also managed to squeeze in some cookery sessions and enjoyed making, tossing and eating pancakes! Later in the term, we found out about people who help us in our community. We went to The Shack for a snack and some played some games with our new friends from America. Also, we had a visit from police officers, Nigel and Nieve. They let us explore lots of police clothing and taught us that the police help us. During this term, we have thought a lot about Easter and listened carefully to the Easter story. We made some Easter crafts, joined in with an Easter egg hunt and made some yummy Easter bunny bread buns which were delicious!
