It has been a busy first term in Reception; learning routines and making new friends. We have had lots of fun and have all tried our best!
We have learnt about our local area, our familes and even found out about Captain Cook; a significant figure from the past.
We moved onto learning about The World Cup and some countries taking part and enjoyed our work on The Three Little Pigs, a favourite story of ours.
In the lead up to Christmas we learnt about bravery especially when we all participated the Nativity for our loved ones to watch.
SPRING TERM - FANTASY AND ADVENTURE
During the spring term we have had lots of fun learning through fantasy and adventure stories; weve been pirates, explorers, dinosaur hunters and storytellers.
We have celebrated Easter, Children's mental health and wellbeing week and also Chinese New Year. The children have continued to progresss with their phonics and are enjoying our new books which we shared on World Book Day.
The children and families have spent time together during the school day; visiting the local park and be creative.
