Autumn Term
We have had a fantastic and busy Autumn term packed with exciting learning and memorable experiences! In science, we learned all about nutrition, healthy eating, and how skeletons and muscles help us move and stay protected. Our history lessons took us on a journey from the Stone Age to the Iron Age, exploring life at Skara Brae, the mystery of Stonehenge and Iron Age hill forts. Our learning on prehistoric times continued into our art lessons, where we made our very own prehistoric-style clay pots. In English, we worked hard on developing our writing skills across different genres including some fantastic character descriptions of the ghastly 'Twits'. We have been building our multiplication fact recall in maths, extending into the 3, 4 and 8 times tables with fun games and silly songs! To round off an amazing first term, we had 'enormous' fun at this year's Christmas Panto - Jack and the Beanstalk. Well done Year 3 - feel very proud of yourselves!
