Summer 1

We have been busy learning all about life cycles and how little animals become big animals.  We have been problem solving, practising our writing and starting to get ready for KS1.  We have spent a lot of time building and exploring new materials and also a lot of time growing!

Spring 2

We have moved classroom! We have a lovely new space to learn and play and grow.  We have learned all about Easter and we have been out and about looking for signs of spring and learned all about what spring looks like in our school grounds and our local area. We have rocked our socks, been scarecrows and explored scientific discoveries!

Spring 1

We have been learning all about wonderful winter and the habitats of different animals at the two poles. We have learned all about penguins and [polar bears and why they wuill never meet!  We have been playing in the snow and preparing for a really big move!  As part of our learning we have learned about Chinese new year and what foods and customs they have in China at this time of year.

Autumn 2

We have been learning all about festivals of light in defferent religions and cultures.  We have been preparing for Christmas practising our lines and songs! We have been adventuring in the woods looking for signs of autumn and the different minibeasts.  We have also spent time learning about Remembrance. We even got an extra special trip to a Christmas wonderland!

Autumn 1

What a half term! We have started our Reception journey brilliantly. We have settled into routines, made new friends and began our learning in amazing style. We have spent a lot of time outdoors exploring and playing, spent time mark making, solved problems and tried our hardest! We have all worked so hard and it seems like we have been in school for much longer than 8 weeks! We definitely deserve a half term rest to recharge and get ready for the next half term full of adventure!
