Class 10 - Miss Turner (ARP)

What a busy and fun first term we have had in Class 10.  The children have settled in brilliantly to work and play and have enjoyed spending lots of time outside in the lovely weather we have had.

We have had an amazing Autumn term in class 10 and the children have really impressed us with their hard work and attitude to learning.  We have enjoyed a trip to Billingham Forum for a fun filled morning of ice skating, had an exciting trip to the pantomime, some of us have been carol singing and a morning spent at The Shack.  We have learnt about our local area in history, different habitats in science and Christmas in RE.  We have also enjoyed yoga and and PE with Phil.

They now deserve a well earned rest and we will see you in January to do it all again!

Spring two

The children have enjoyed exploring all things space this term - dressing up as an astronauts, making space rock biscuits, paper mache planets and sensory tuff trays.

We visited the pub for lunch and practiced skills we need for adult life

We also learned about Chinese New Year in RE

Spring two

This half term we have been planting seeds and bulbs to watch them grow and discuss what plants need to stay alive.  We have enjoyed stories related to the topic such as The Enormous Turnip, Jack and the Beanstalk and the Very Hungry Caterpillar.

We have been on a walk round the local area observing signs of spring and loved our trip to Tynemouth Aquarium.

In RE we learnt about the Easter story and enjoyed having our friends and family in to decorate eggs for a competition.  All rounded off with a fun Easter egg hunt in the sunshine!
