Stockton on Tees Local Authority

Stockton-on-Tees Council is creating additional provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. These new placements are called ARPs and SEND Units mean children can get the specialist support they need, in a mainstream school, and closer to home from September 2025. This is part of the council’s ongoing commitment to making sure every child has the right support, in the right setting, at the right time. It means more choice, more targeted help, and better outcomes for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
