School Meals

We are proud to provide healthy, nutritious school meals that are freshly prepared and cooked on site each day. Children can choose from three meal options daily – two hot choices and one cold option. Children select their meal each morning, helping to ensure they receive their preferred choice whenever possible.

School menus are available on request and can also be accessed via the link above.

Free School Meals

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are automatically entitled to a Universal Infant Free School Meal, regardless of household income or benefit status.

From September 2026, all children in households receiving Universal Credit will be entitled to Free School Meals, regardless of household earnings. This change is expected to make Free School Meals available to many more families across England.

To help identify children who may be entitled to Free School Meals and associated funding, we ask all parents and carers to provide their National Insurance number and date of birth so that the school can complete an eligibility check. If you would prefer to carry out the check yourself, please use the link below.

School Meal Payments

For children in Key Stage 2 who are not entitled to Free School Meals, dinner money is collected by the school office.

  • Payments should be made in advance for the week ahead, with the envelope clearly marked with your child's name and the amount enclosed.

Cost of school meals September 2026 onwards:

  • £3.61 per day
  • £18.05 per week

Packed Lunches

Children may bring a packed lunch from home each day.

In line with our Healthy Eating Policy, we ask that packed lunches do not contain chocolate bars, sweets, or fizzy drinks.  For safety reasons, all grapes must be cut lengthways in half before being brought into school.

  • If a child arrives at school without a packed lunch, a school meal will be provided and the usual meal charge will apply.
  • If your child wishes to change from school meals to packed lunches (or vice versa), the school office must be informed at least one week in advance.
  • Meal arrangements should remain consistent throughout the week.

Allergy Awareness and Nut-Free Environment

Allergy Awareness and Nut-Free Environment

The safety and wellbeing of children with allergies is extremely important to us. Following national allergy safety guidance and the principles introduced through Benedict's Law, we are committed to reducing the risk of allergic reactions in school.

To help protect children with severe allergies, we operate a strict no-nut policy. Parents and carers must not send nuts or nut-containing products into school, including peanut butter, Nutella, nut-based snacks and cereal bars containing nuts.

Even trace amounts can trigger a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) in some children and adults. We thank all families for their support in helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone.
