• St John the Baptist

At St John’s we pride ourselves on being a listening school. We listen to our children, our families, our staff and Governors: everyone who is part of our school community. Part of our shared vision states that we ensure everyone in our school, feels, warm, welcomed and safe.

  • Everyone Different, Everyone Loved

At St John the Baptist we will ensure that everyone feels welcomed, safe and loved – that they belong.

  • We have strong links with St John’s Church on Durham Road

At St. John’s we have worship every day. Every Tuesday a key Stage 2 class attends our local Church St. John the Baptist to join their 10am service. Children are chosen to read and share the gospel. Every half term Eucharist occurs in school and a class lead the service.

  • We are a 'Good' School

We are pleased to announce that we have been graded as 'Good' by Ofsted

  • St John's Primary School

Our aims are to support all children in an atmosphere of care and understanding whilst giving each child the opportunity to achieve their potential in an exciting, interesting, environment.

  • Part of the Local Community

At St John's we take pride in our local community and join in with activities in and out of school. We had so much fun at Christmas Sparkles Market in Stockton. We made our own items to sell and raised money for a good cause.

The Basic Skills Quality Mark is an award that celebrates and supports continuous improvement in literacy and numeracy. It is awarded to a setting or school to recognise their provision, practice and performance in literacy and numeracy, and is valid for three years. A school or setting must demonstrate a whole school approach to improving standard in literacy and numeracy, with evidence of the impact of its approaches. It provides a framework for self-evaluation and continuous improvement of the basic skills of all pupils in a school, including those who underachieve and those who under attain.
