We have had a truly Scrumdiddlyumptious time this half term, which has been packed with delicious treats throughout! We’ve based a lot of our reading and writing on Roald Dahl’s, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, writing diary extracts, stories, character profiles and letters. We have spent a lot of our time having fun designing, making and tasting a range of familiar and unfamiliar tastes which have included unusual fruits such as prunes, figs and pomegranates, making homemade lemonade and smoothies, creating healthy wraps, and baking delicious muffins and cookies...yum! Of course we used our maths skills for measuring and weighing ingredients, but we have also been learning to use place value in addition and subtraction, and learning about angles and turns.
As well as all of this, we have also enjoyed Box2bfit and HoopStarz workshops, a visit from the Police, Pedestrian Training and Swimming lessons.
This half term has once again been filled with plenty of fun and learning.
We've thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Ancient Greeks, hearing Greek myths and legends and using these to focus our writing on. As usual, we've also had additional fun activities such as the Climbing Wall, lessons in Yoga and Relaxation, and baking delicious treats.
Although a little different to normal, we had fun performing our Nativity, enjoyed a laugh at the pantomime, and had a great time making Christmas crafts and partying on our Christmas Fun Day.
