This half term has been very busy for our class! We started off our half term by looking at the community around us. We had special visits from fire fighters and police officers. We loved learning about the houses around us and the people who help us in our community. We have worked very hard to make sure everyday has been filled with fun!
We wore odd socks to celebrate anti-bullying week!
Warbutons came in to teach us about healthy eating
We drew pictures outside with chalks.
Salvation Army came to teach us about music
This half term we have been learning about music. We have played musical instruments, listened to the Salvation Army, learnt about how music is written, listened to different types of music and designed our own CD case. We have loved learning about music and found the instruments very noisy. We went to see Cinderella at Stockton Riverside Festival and enjoyed all of the festive activities too! We are ready for a break!
In spring 2 we were extremely busy! We did lots of fun jobs during our muck, mess and mixtures theme including painting our hands and feet to create patterns, we created marbling inks pictures, experimented with foam, looked at how materials can change state and we even baked gingerbread men! We had a lovely half term and are looking forward to our next topic!
