Parent Support Advisor
Helen Conroy works in school to offer support to parents and families and to be a link between school and home. Helen has 6 children of her own so has plenty of practical experience of issues that parents may face. Helen’s role involves visiting parents before their children start Nursery, organising various family events and activities, helping parents fill in forms, offering advice and support on an individual basis and through group activities and courses.
MarvellousMe is a great way to keep you informed of your child’s activities and achievements at school. This is a light-touch app that you can use on your smartphone, tablet or online and is ideal for parents who want a quick snapshot of their child’s day. It offers real-time updates and is easy to share with people that you choose.
Submit your views about St John the Baptist Primary School. Parent View gives you the chance to tell us what you think about your child’s school. Parent View asks for your opinion on 12 aspects of your child’s school, from the quality of teaching, to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. By sharing your views, you’ll be helping us at St John the Baptist Primary School to improve.
Cookery and Recipes
Cookery is integrated into our curriculum across the school. Your child will have the opportunity to cook a variety of foods while they are at St John’s. We work alongside The Children’s Food Trust and focus on healthy eating. Parents can join in with our fun cookery sessions, at our after school club! Find information about how to join us in the kitchen or have a go at our recipes yourself, at home. Our recipe page is updated regularly, so keep checking for new ideas!
