Autumn 1 Reflection 2018

Throughout the first half term the children settled brilliantly into nursery and enjoyed making friends with the two year old children who have joined the class. The children thoroughly enjoyed learning about Autumn time and looking at changes in the environment. We read lots of Autumn themed books  such as Pumpkin Soup, The Helpful Hedgehog and The Storm. In nursery we love listening to stories!

Autumn  Term 2 2018

The children are all full of enthusiasm and already enjoying our Autumn Term 2 topic which will focus on food and celebrations. We will be reading books such as Handa’s surprise and the Tiger who came to tea. Autumn term 2 is also a very exciting time because we will be preparing for our Christmas performance which we will be inviting parents in to watch. We can’t wait and hope you enjoy our wonderful singing!

Autumn 2 Term Reflection

What a fantastic Autumn term we have had in nursery! It has been tremendously busy and the children have all settled really well into the setting. It’s been lovely to see them learning through play and forming new friendships with their class members.

We have celebrated lots of things such as Diwali, Bonfire Night, Remembrance Day, Christmas and birthdays. We have read some amazing stories like The Tiger Who Came to Tea, Pumpkin Soup and Handa’s Surprise and we have tasted lots of delicious treats such as pumpkin soup, cookies, fruit kebabs, and bonfire treats!

A big thank for all of your support throughout the term and the nursery staff would like to wish you all a Happy New Year.

Spring Term 1 2019

Spring term has started brilliantly and the children have returned to school full of enthusiasm! This half term we will be learning all about different forms of transport. Our learning will take us up in the sky, out at sea and on the land.

We will also be celebrating Chinese New Year and taking part in a whole school mental health week. The children will hopefully be going on a trip at some point, too- I will inform you all closer to the time via Marvellous Me.

Spring 1 Reflection

We have had such a fun packed half term and the children have all worked brilliantly! Highlights have included, creating Chinese artwork during Chinese New Year, creating rockets as part of our transport topic and talking about feelings during Mental Health Week. The children also enjoyed exploring outside when it snowed!

We would like to thank all parents who attended sessions throughout the half term, we really appreciate all your support! Thank you!

Spring 2 2019

We are kicking this half term off by reading the traditional tale of Jack and the Beanstalk and looking at growing our own beans! This topic is all about growth so we will be looking at the butterfly life cycle, the frog life cycle and we will also be hatching chicks in our classroom! We will end the half term by learning all about Easter and thinking about this very special time in the Christian calendar.
